Shirley Shares the story of her Boudoir Photo Shoot
When I asked members of my VIP group to share a review of their boudoir experience, Shirley’s quickly got my attention. Her story is so moving and brought me to tears! Here is her story, written by Shirley herself.
My day with Anna……I’m probably the oldest client she ever photographed. No….I’m sure I am. I was a nervous wreck. I had bypass surgery on my right leg in March. That made me even more nervous that I couldn’t hold a pose. Add to that the fact I’m 71 cranked up the jitters. I don’t have a toned body, full lips or the shiny hair I once did.
Entering her studio I was immediately greeted and made to feel very important. Invited to sit in the beauty chair for hair and makeover.. That sweet young lady so far along in her pregnancy doing my makeup was amazing.
Then THE CLOSET! WOW a multitude of beautiful things. I could not choose. I was sure I was far past the age of making anything look cute and certainly not sexy.
Anna laid out the things she felt I should try. Such beautiful things!!! I found myself wishing I could be 50 or even 60 again!! I walked into the main studio so uncertain of myself. I knew Anna had seen many women in her lingerie. But…..not one my age!!!
She immediately went to work (and I do mean WORK). Watching her with her camera reminded me of how I believed Santa created magic in his workshop when I was a little girl. I followed her direction as best I could with my recent surgery. (Pretty sure I didn’t mention that to her .)
When my shoot ended it felt as though I’d only been there a few minutes. Now the wait to see her work. It seemed forever before I went back to the “magic studio” to preview the photos. In reality it wasn’t very long at all. She opened her laptop and there on her screen was the woman I didn’t believe I was anymore.
She made that process perfect. So many photos. How to choose? With her guidance we whittled it down to a good number. It was tuff. Her work was artistry and each shot proved that.
Thanks for listening!!! Here’s the proof of her talent.
